wedding quilt - finally!

Son #2 - Gavin - and the lovely lady in his life, Stefanie, got married last summer.
Here they are looking all dapper & pretty on that special day.
SWOON-ing...with love...
They are both serving active duty in the Army.
He lives at Ft. Lewis in Washington and she lives in Arizona.
Silliness - military life!
But, I finally finished their wedding quilt - yay, mom!

I started with a fat quarter in the center and bordered like a crazy woman around and around.
Gavin said Stef likes black & blues.  Of course I added some gray & green - because I can.
The backing is a gray-on-gray dot.
It's coming your way, Stefanie, to Arizona.
Love you both,
mom

  6. I love the colors! Did this take forever to sew? How did you keep it flat?

    1. Actually it was speedy quick to sew. Just keep going around and around and pretty soon you have a quilt top!!! I'm lucky enough to have a Gammill qulting machine that keeps it super flat while quilting and I used low loft batting. Thanks for the compliments!
