  1. Hi Kathy,
I'm also a 'seasoned' quilter and have enjoyed seeing your work. I'm here in Florida doing the same thing as you and loving it! Your work is lovely! I'm happy to see you charging what your time is worth. Here, there are several quilters, so I have to be competitive. 4 cents for high custom seems to be the limit, otherwise, my prices match yours. I'll let my friend there in Montana know about you, and see if I can get you guys hooked up. Happy quilting! Susan

    1. Hi Susan - Thank you for the compliments! Your quilting is beautiful, fun and creative! I'll be keeping my eye on your blog! I understand the "competitive-ness" of other quilters. We live in a town of 900 people and there are 2 other quilters...I'm the new girl in town. Thank you for letting your friend know about me - I really appreciate it! Happy quilting, back to you!

  2. Hi Kathy, What kind of turn around time do you have right now for an overall quilting pattern for a throw to twin sized quilt?
    Thanks,

  3. Kathy I am new to quilting -I have finished 3 quilts-I know some people think the prices are high-but I have experienced 2 quilters near me-I can say you get what you pay for-I am sure many have had such experiences of low quality-My first quilt was a baby quilt-stippling and was not very good and when I went to pick it up the price had doubled. My next one had cute bears and hearts - but the bears heads were uneven and the rows were not the same distance apart and I found a snag in the backing-I never went to the lady to let her know-I just mended the hole and will not use her again-my 3rd will be sent to you-I love your work you have displayed--but I just want to say quality does come with a price. Thank you Kathy from Oklahoma

    1. It always tugs at my heart when I learn of a new quilter, or any quilter, who has had a bad experience with their machine quilter. You're right, you usually get what you pay for... including poor quality, at times. I would love to quilt your quilt for you and you can always get an estimate from me. I will NEVER add "hidden costs". Thank you for the compliment on my work - I love what I do!

    2. I have used Kathy twice (third quilt in progress)and have been overly satisfied. I'm happy that I chose to have her be my first Longarm experience and will continue to send quilt projects to her (I live in Virginia and am sure there are local people to do it). I know everyone keeps saying that you get what you pay for, but I think with Kathy, I get MUCH MORE than what I have paid for. Every time I open the shipping box from receiving my quilt back, the amount charged is less than what I had expected.

  4. Hi Kathy~~I stumbled upon you by accident and am loving the comments I've read, I am almost finished with a quilt that is a 'big' size for me!! I am used to the little ones that I can meander on. The quilt is made with pinfeathers fabric by Carina Gardner. I would like to get with you on ideas and pricing. Your work is gorgeous!!

  11. Just found you on the Net here and couldn't agree more with all the comments and compliments. I'm just finishing up my binding on the last three quilts and am ready to put them into the bunkhouse for the arrival of all the little kiddos coming for Easter weekend. All my quilts in there will have been quilted by you except for one, each have that old Civil War era quilting on them and they speak of warmth and beauty. I am so pleased with your work and love the drive to Ennis and that you can stop by once in a while with a pile of quilts and a friendly" how do"! Love the cooperative work between you and Gladys! Love ya Girl! jami
