proud moment...

This is my son #2.
On October 1, 2012 he was promoted to Sergeant First Class.
He is in the Army.
He serves our beautiful country.
He has dirt on his face.
He works hard.
He is one of my heroes.

I love you, son.

  9. Thank you all for your beautiful comments. It touches my heart deeply to know that people from all over the country care this much and love our troops. I actually have 2 sons, a daughter-in-law and a step son-in law serving active duty right now. My husband is retired Air Force. I love the military. I love you quilters!

  10. Hey Kathy, my hubby's family is an Army family too! My hubby is in the Army (he is a Sergeant now, getting close to being promoted to Staff Sergeant! :)), his brother is in the Marines, his Papa is retired Air Force (like your hubby!), and his two first cousins are in the Navy and Marines! We are stationed at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii right now, just came from Fort Bragg, NC. Just wanted to say Congrats to your son! A LOT of work goes into being promoted! You are one lucky mama! -Tiffinee

    1. Thank you for your kind words - brought little tear to my eyes. I'm so incredibly in awe of those who serve our country. Sounds like you've got all the branches covered, too! Hug your military members for me and tell them "thank you", too. Enjoy Hawaii!!!
