Christmas Quilt deadline.....

If you get your quilt(s) to me by
November 1st
I'll guarantee they will be returned to you before Christmas.

Here's a little teaser.....
A friend/customer of mine, Denise from Florida, sent me her Modern Christmas Tree quilt to quilt and
I absolutely fell in love with it.
I really like her pieced backing of tree prints and that black & white stripe border....so cute!

So.....I made one for me.
(it's actually a gift but I can't say who it's for....she might follow my blog)

I started making the blocks at a retreat last spring and just couldn't stop!

I put a Christmas-y flannel on the back and quilted it with a single wave.

Gingham binding - I'm kind of in love with ginghams again.

I'm teaching a class on it through the Adult Education program in our school district.
I loved every minute of making this cute quilt.
The blocks work up so fast and it was fun to pair the fabrics together so that each block is different.
You can find the free tutorial online at
"Diary of a Quilter" - here.
Remember.....
NOVEMBER 1st
is the deadline to get your Christmas quilts to me.
thanks....

  4. As you know I love this pattern - so fun to pair up the contrasting fabrics! But I have to say I am obsessed with your binding choice. I realize you also have that same fabric in a few trees which makes it all the more perfect!

    1. That binding is a Carolina Gingham - maybe Hawthorne Threads? I love it! Thank you for the inspiration - you're the best!

  5. Love this pattern and have it on my long list of must makes and yours is awesome! I have a box with 3 quilts ready to mail to you but have been trying to finish a 4th before mailing. Life has gotten in the way, a broken right arm, torn rotator cuff, then last week my trusty Viking had to visit the machine doctor for a bit of attention. I picked her up late yesterday so there is still hope that I can finish my 4th one. I'm so looking forward to you beautifying my quilts!
