At a recent quilt guild meeting it was suggested that we take a little more time on our piece work and go slowly.
That way there are less errors, etc. etc.
I made it a goal of mine to go slowly...
My friend, Brook, put together a little package full of vintage goodies and sent them to me.
Among the items was this little flash card sight word, "slowly".
It was perfect!
How did she know that was my "word of the year"?
I have it sitting on a shelf in my sewing room - as a reminder!
In my vintage package she sent this pretty turquoise muffin tin.
Two little iron mice - so cute!
I love this magnetic clip that lives on my refrigerator.
Thank you, Brook.
I wish I had about a dozen of these clips!
She completely understands my love of vintage things!
I love you, Brook.
Do you have a "word of the year" for 2015?
I'm going to start using your word when I learn something new, too! I love it! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI am far to indecisive to choose a single word for the year! hahaha. Slowly is one I could use though, I always want to see the finished product so much I rush the process and then rue the errors.
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly why I chose to go slowly this year when creating!
DeleteI miss you!! So glad you like them.
ReplyDeleteWhile I don't have a word for the year, I'm hearing you on "slowly". What a great reminder and tip from the guild. Something I need to work on for sure!! :)
