My son, Gavin, got married last week.
He married the sweetest girl - Brooke.
They are perfect for each other.
She has two adorable little kids - now they are the most adorable little family.

I made each of them a snuggly quilt.
This is Gavin's - softness on the back (a blanket from Costco) and "Hello Bear" stags on the front.
I simply quilted straight horizontal lines.
I just added a couple of borders and quilted it with swirls.
Mmmmmm a blanket from Costco on the back.

DeleteOH my goodness - how fun! Everyone does look happy. My daughter is getting married Saturday in the mountains north of here. I am exhausted! But in a good way. It's so nice to know they have someone to share their lives with :) (I love Hawthorne Threads, too, except they have never drawn my name for their weekly drawings. What's with that?)

ReplyDeleteand I LOVE Gavin's quilt. Do you just have the deer print everywhere and then a few blocks sprinkled down the middle?? I love the straight line quilt. Gavin and Brooke are lucky to have you as a mom!!
I used the deer print all over with 15" blocks running down off center. I put 45" of deer on one side and split the remaining deer on the fold then added the pieced blocks. I wish I would have taken a photo of it before I sent it - but I was in a hurry to get it to them. They loved their quilts!
