Heather's solids.....and Fig Tree BOM...

Heather is from Washington and sent me 2 quilts to quilt.

This first one is an amazing star/log cabin king size quilt.

I'm starting to see more and more solid color quilts.
There are so many beautiful solid pieces out there - more than ever before.
Heather's quilt is one of the most beautiful solid fabrics quilts I have ever seen.....ever!

It was a block of the month.
I decided to quilt an all-over swirl - I didn't want to detract from the piecing and gorgeous design.

I quilted ric-rac in the first inner border, orange peel in the pieced border, straight lines for the outer border and fan swirls in the outer corners.

The backing is bicycles - absolutely darling!

Heather also sent me this Fig Tree block of the month.

I'm starting to see quite a few of these and it's a darling quilt.
I love the dark blue/dot binding.
Frames it nicely.
She wanted an all-over design in the center and different borders - I love playing with the borders!
I quilted a ribbon and some loops in the blue dot border and a pretty echoed paisley in the outer border.

Very nice job on both of these quilts, Heather.
Thank you for letting me add my little bit to them.

I wonder if these are Christmas gifts???

Debbie's sampler...

My friend, Debbie, made this beautiful Fig Tree 2013 mystery of the month quilt.
It's just stunning!
She wanted me to quilt each block individually - I love that!
Here are some close ups of some of the blocks...
Each house was quilted with its own personal touch.

I echo quilted the blue dot border and quilted a pretty fleur design in the outer border.
(I wish I had a bolt of that blue dot fabric).

The baskets were each so pretty - love the little bow on this one.

Notice how the center of every single block has that blue dot square - brilliant!

There were house blocks, basket blocks and sampler pieced blocks.

Cute little 4-patch windows.

I had so much fun quilting this quilt....

And Debbie did a BEAUTIFUL job piecing it.
It was a gift for a very lucky sister-in-law.

Fig Tree Flowers

My customer, Jenny, from Missouri, made this pretty quilt using Fig Tree fabrics....aren't they just the softest looking prints?
It's such a simple quilt and yet so classy looking!
She is giving it to some very special friends who are moving.
What a sweet, sweet gift.
Jenny wanted it quilted very dense - so I did.
I think it turned out just beautiful.

I pebbled the cream background areas.

The inner border has a ribbon flowing through it.

And the outer border has a lady finger pattern.
(you know - the yummy buttery cookies)

In the "flower" petals I quilted one of my favorite designs - long figure "8's".

Jenny chose a soft green with ity bity white dots for the backing....perfect!

I love how the quilting looks completely different on the back!

Binding - another perfect fabric choice!
It's just beautiful....thank you, Jenny,
your friends will love it.
