2 sisters, 2 quilts....

Vicky and Sally are twins.
They live in the UK.
They both received the "Vintage Quilt Revival" book for Christmas last year...
and they both made the quilt!
Even though they're twin sisters, their quilts are completely different styles!
This is what I'm talking about...
Here's Sally's quilt - she set her blocks on point.
I quilted a teardrop shape in that pretty white background.

...love her backing...

I gave each quilt block its own personality with different quilting.

The blocks look like they're floating - I love that!

All bound and ready for home...

Here's Vicky's quilt.
She went traditional.
Vicky framed each block, added sashing strips between and a post.

I gave each of Vicky's blocks individual treatment, too.

I quilted ric-rac in the sashing & swirled the posts.

That backing - after spending some time in Japan, Vicky knew she had to have this piece for her quilt.
So darn cute!

This one is all bound & ready for home, too.
(they said they were "giddy kippers" waiting for them to arrive)

They sent me these adorable little "haberdashery" items - a pin cushion and matching tape measure.
thank you...I love them...

Thank you, Vicky & Sally, for allowing me to "do my thing" on your beautiful quilts!

Christmas cut-off date for quilts...

NOVEMBER 1st
will be the cut-off date for me receiving quilts that need to be quilted for Christmas.
This allows me time to get them quilted and returned back to you so you can bind them, hug them, and wrap them up for gift giving.

This is such a busy time of year, but I love the change of seasons and the holidays that are fast approaching.

I've already got Christmas music lined up in my quilting room - ready for me to hit "play" when the mood hits me!

I'm sharing this pretty "Ellen's Sewing Basket" quilt that I made, with you.
It's a Minick & Simpson pattern - all of their patterns are so pretty.

I am so happy with it - I put flannel on the back so I can snuggle under it.

I quilted an all-over pointy tear drop design.

Someone mentioned that the stars look like colored snowflakes...I love snowflakes!
I'm calling it an early Christmas present to myself.
Are you working on Christmas quilts?
