W.I.P. and G.I.F.T.S.

I really do have some "Works In Progress".
I have a tendency to start several at a time!  Anyone else out there have the same habit creative-ness???
Here's what I have going...

The top block is one of my favorite patterns from Cluck Cluck Sew called "Spin cycle"
I'm using a collection of Denyse Schmidt fabrics.

The lower left block is from the Riley Blake Mystery Block-of-the-Month.  It is posted on their blog the 2nd Monday of each month.

The lower right block is the start of my "Scrappy Trip" blocks.  I have TWO.....hey, it's a start.
I have to pin them on my wall for inspiration.  Works for me!

Then there are gifts.....oh.my.goodness.
I don't feel deserving, but, I'm not sending any of them back!
This is an entire yard of stripe fabric.  My friend Barb, from Idaho, knows me so well!!!  It just showed up in the mail!
ZIPPY!!!
But wait.....there's more...

Look at all this pink!  It's a little cute pouch made by my friend, Bev, in Virginia.  I love it...
Darn right!!!

  1. Completely with you when it comes to having lots of starts and not so many finishes. Sent pics to a friend today of 6 WIPs. I have more, but these are the ones currently in rotation. Sometimes I just have to try a block or technique and I get carried away. :)

  2. Exactly - lots of starts and not so many finishes....that describes me perfectly. I do eventually finish them! Thanks for the comment!

  3. You are so welcome, my friend! KNEW you would love the stripe! And you know my history of WIP's! I AM close to finishing the top to my basket quilt, and it will be some kind of record for me. Quilt on!

  4. What sweet gifts! I have a bunch of WIPs. Sometimes I feel like cutting, or piecing, or just looking at my stash dreaming of the things I could make! :) Love that fabric in the background if the green stripes. Reminds me of a vintage sheet. Is it from Honey Honey?

    1. Oh - I totally understand the "...just look at my stash dreaming of the things I could make"! The background fabric is a pillow case made from a vintage sheet. The cuff is a solid blue - one of my favorites!
