Allison Harris, of Cluck Cluck Sew, recently published a fantastic quilting book.
(you rock, Allison!)
For me, it's one of those rare quilting books that I would like to make every single project in it...seriously!
(thanks, Allison, I love my copy).
Allison has a couple of links on her blog where you can view each quilt featured in the book.
The book is available here.
I wanted to make my grandson, Adam, one of the "Scrappy Reader Pillow's".
But, Adam is turning 13 this month and I needed it to be a little more teen-ager-ish. So I used brushed woven's and simply cut strips instead of squares for the pocket part.
He loves Origami and Star Wars - I think grandma just scored!!!
I quilted it like Allison's....horizontal straight lines.
It was super easy and so fun!
Darn straight I'll be making more!
Happy Birthday, Adam - I love you!
Well, you're a cool grandma!!!
