summer wedding with Kaffe...

Sarah is getting married on Saturday.
Her mom, Michelle, of Pocatello, ID, made this absolutely stunning quilt out of Kaffe Fassett fabrics - a favorite of Sarah's.

I was lucky enough to get to quilt it and man-oh-man did I have fun!

She chose wool batting which gave it a soft sort of puffy feel and look.  Wool batting drapes very nicely, too.
This is a king size quilt but I didn't have the capacity to get the entire picture.  There must be 1,000's of pieces in this quilt!
I quilted bubbles and squiggles then echoed tear drops in the 4-patches.
A beautiful quilt for a beautiful bride.

Here is my Kaffe collection, so far: (I'm pretty sure I NEED MORE)

And here is his book, "Quilt Romance", with this incredible pattern.
I especially love the gift Kaffe has of blending color with design.
He. Is. Brilliant!

Michelle, you inspire me to start cutting on mine!
