snowmen...

My sweet friend in Mississippi, Trish, of Notes of Sincerity, sent me this darling little house ornament.
I love her choice of little bity snow people fabric.
Darling!

The back...
thank you, Miss Trish!

My sister, LeAnn, sent another Christmas pillow - my heart smiled when I got this one.
It is still sitting on my bench in the hallway.

I have to get out my little snowman pot that my friend, Tammy, made me at least 15 years ago!

This popcorn has a KICK to it.
I brought it to my Open Sew class at the high school tonight.
SNAP - it was gone just like that!

I love my snowman pot....

Here's the recipe:

2 tsp. vegetable oil
1 cup unpopped popcorn kernels
Pop the popcorn on the stove top.
Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
Line 2 baking sheets with foil & spray with cooking oil.
Cook on stovetop 3 cups sugar, 3 cubes (1 1/2 cups) butter and 3/4 cup light corn syrup.  Cook until sugar is dissolved and mixture almost turns a very light brown.  Turn off heat and add 3 tsp. course salt and 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper.
Pour over popped popcorn in very large bowl.  Stir until coated and divide on to your baking sheets.
Bake @ 250 degrees, stirring occasionally, for 30 minutes.
You can also add some roasted nuts!
enjoy!

  2. I love the snowman pot! What a great idea. The popcorn sounds delish. Isn't everything Trish makes a delight? And I have a special fondness for little houses so I love this darling ornament! At first glance I thought the pillow from your sister was just a snowflake, but then I noticed the snowmen in the design. Adorable!

  4. I said, "Awwww" three times. Cute cute presents! I'll have to try that popcorn. I like m&ms in mine. Put them in when you've just popped it & then by the time you get to the bottom, they are warm, but not melted. yum.
