Sherri's quilts...

My Anchorage, Alaska friend, Sherri, makes the most amazing quilts.
They are simple and beautiful.
I love simplicity....and I find myself wanting to make every single one of her quilts for myself.
She has a flair for putting the perfect colors together.
Just like this 16-patch.

She certainly knows how to mix 'n match!
I did a simple stipple on this comfy quilt.
 Sherri has fabulous backings, too.

She very seldom uses the same fabric line within a quilt.
(I wish Sherri lived closer, I would beg her to give me a lesson on color & design!)
Here's a cute little crib size 4-patch....sweetness.

And here it is again made out of Kaffe Fassett fabrics.
I cross-hatched this one.

Again - a perfect Kaffe backing!

This soothing "T" quilt is so calming....

I hate to admit this, but....I've never made a log cabin quilt.
I love log cabins so much and Sherri had me at "scrappy look" on this one.

This is the latest quilt I quilted for her.
Triangles for her granddaughter's "big girl" bed.

Swirls - lots and lots of pretty swirls.
They're just the right touch for the cute hot air balloon backing.
(I had to order some for my stash, too.)

I want this quilt, just for me....

Thank you, Sherri, for the constant inspiration I gain from your lovely quilts.

amazing Anitra!

My California friend, Anitra, truly is amazing.
I always get multiple quilts to quilt from her - I don't know how she has the time to get so many finished!
Sit back, grab a cup of your favorite drink, relax and enjoy the show!
I promise it's a color explosion!
Beautiful Kaffe Fassett stripe fabrics.

A close-up of the loop quilting.

This one reminds me of sea glass so I quilted beautiful elongated swirls & bubbles.

Log Cabin Beads out of Kaffe fabrics.

Perfect backing for the beads quilt.

More solids - SO many 1/2 squares!

back 'n forth quilting...

Another beautiful backing!

I love this one - it's Anitra's Easter quilt.

Over 100 crosses...

Each cross is quilted different.

This is the label for the Easter quilt - on the center back.

Pretty Kaffe binding.

Anitra named this one, "Valori & Kaffe Go Out to Play"....I love it!
She's mixed Kaffe & Valori Wells fabrics...

So many tiny pieces...

Backing for Valori & Kaffe - I think they would both be happy with the results!

A cute Christmas scrappy Trip - I started cutting/collecting Christmas 2.5" strips because I want one of these, too!

All finished and ready to be snuggled under!

Thank you, Anitra - you have some serious skills!
I love your style!

let it rain...

My sweet friend, Shari, from New Jersey, made me this umbrella.

You heard that right - she MADE it!
Then she sent it to me in the mail.....that's love.
...."April showers bring May flowers"....
In Montana it doesn't rain in April.
It's more like "May showers bring June flowers"....sometimes!
I don't even dare plant anything until mid-June.

Shari knows I love Kaffe Fassett fabrics so she not only makes me an umbrella, she uses this beautiful Kaffe fabric.
..so pretty - thank you, Shari.

She knows me so well!

She sprayed the umbrella with water repellant.
I'll have to try it out in the rain!

These are my "wellies" that my sister, LeAnn, gave me while I was visiting her in England.
Everyone wears them!

We wear them here in Montana, too.
But, we call them "mud boots".

I'm set for rain - let it rain!

What kind of weather are you having right now?
