Pow-Wow quilts!

Cute Katie, from Pennsylvania, sent these adorable twin baby boy quilts to be quilted.
I love this pattern!
It's "Pow Wow" from Cluck Cluck Sew.
You can purchase one here at Allison's shop.

Each one had different prints so I quilted them different.
One was quilted with swirls, the other one was quilted with double bubbles.

But look at these flannel backings....
extra cute!

Katie tucked this cute little pyrex dish inside the box when she sent the quilt "parts" to me.

She knows I love pyrex and said while she was out shopping, she saw this blue dish and thought it was perfect to send with the little boy quilts.

I course I filled it with coconut flavored M&M's.
Oh my!
Have I ever mentioned my love of coconut?
Oh, that's right - I have - here!
They're SOOOOO good!

I love my vintage table cloth my friend, Brooke - from Arizona, sent.
Thank you, Katie & Brooke.
My table is so pretty and springy!

Clementine Cluck Cluck Sew line & pattern sale!

That Allison - she is so creative!  I love her new line of fabrics, "Oh Clementine".
They are bright, cheerful, fresh and mixes perfectly with her first line, "Wallflowers".
Here is a link to her post about this new line:

Here are her new patterns - which are on sale - 30% off -  through Saturday, May 10th.
She asked me to quilt a couple of her quilts just in time for spring quilt market.

This is "Applejack":

I quilted orange peels in the 9-patches and swirled the snowball blocks.
It is set on point - I love that!

This is "Vintage":

This pattern calls for fat quarters.
I quilted an all-over fan swirl.

Her third new pattern is "Morning Glory".  So, so pretty!

Congratulations, Allison, on another beautiful line of fabrics and patterns!
Can't wait to get my hands on some and get sewing!!!

"Wallflowers"

I recently purchased a jelly roll and two charm packs of Allison Harris's, of Cluck Cluck Sew, lovely fabric, "Wallflowers".

I wanted a lap size quilt that would use only these pre-cuts.
So I went searching online and found this pattern - perfect!
Then I asked my friend, Andrea, to piece it for me - love her!!!
You can read more about her and her beautiful blog here.

Andrea added an extra row - because there were a few "left-overs".

I was so excited to have my friend piece my quilt - she did a beautiful job!
She will piece a quilt for you, too!
Just contact her through her blog, Andrea Quilts.

I quilted it row by row with a long figure "8" design.

I love this backing piece - my favorite from the Wallflower line.

I even finished the binding by hand.

Thank you, Andrea.  I'm calling it, "Andrea's Wallflowers".

superbowl....Sunday!

Who will win the Super Bowl???
Broncos or Seahawks?

Allison - of Cluck Cluck Sew - is a Seahawks fan.
She made this "Touchdown" quilt in honor of the Seahawks:

...and she let me quilt it however I wanted!
It was SO fun to quilt!

You can read more about it and how to order a pattern here.

We'll be cheering for the DENVER BRONCOS.....and of course, Peyton Manning.

I mostly watch for the ads.....and this one is my absolute favorite.  It's a clear winner!
Who are you cheering for?

Allison's Dresden Plate beauty...

I recently quilted a beautiful Dresden Plate quilt for Allison - the Cluck Cluck Sew girl!
Back in July of last year she blogged about it here.

I was thrilled when she asked me to quilt it!
(heels kicking in the air!)
But I have to admit I'm always a little timid when it comes to quilting antique blocks.
I want to "bring them to life", as Allison puts it, and quilt them in a way they were originally suppose to be quilted.
LOVE these vintagel prints!

I went with a simple stipple to recede the solid background.

Then I quilted 1/4" inside each Dresden wedge and swirled the centers.
This one was the only printed center in the entire quilt....love that! (Allison's photo)

Antique Dresdens

Her backing reminded me of the Dresden's - in a modern sort of way.

Allison bound it with a white binding.....perfect!

Here she is - all wrapped up!
